Extremely Quiet

Because of our precision manufacturing techniques, the Honda BF150 is so quiet, we don't even have to put sound dampening insulation in the cowling like the competition does.

"Three-way" Cooling System

The Honda BF150 uses three separate cooling systems. One for the cylinder head which runs at 50 degrees Celsius, one for the cylinder block which runs at 60 degrees Celsius and one that is unregulated - to run as cold as possible to cool the exhaust manifold , engine oil and fuel-vapour separator. The benefits of this industry-first design are too many to list here but the main ones are : increased power output/ lower emissions, longer engine life and smoother operation.

Fuel Efficiency

Honda's advanced four-stroke technology, sequential fuel injection and "Lean Burn Feedback" system deliver outstanding fuel efficiency because fuel is delivered more precisely and burned more thoroughly. This means improved throttle response, increased horsepower, lower emissions and fuel costs.

Engine Command System

Our exclusive "Engine Command Module" (ECM) receives constant input from sensors located throughout the engine to provide optimum overall performance along with superior fuel efficiency and long-term durability.

Worry-Free Operation

Honda's Engine Alert System monitors vital engine functions and helps prevent engine damage by alerting the operator of overheating, low oil pressure, over-rev, battery condition and water in fuel.

VTEC

Honda's Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) uses two cam lobe profiles to operate the intake valves. The result is a superior combination of power, torque, rpm, and fuel economy at any RPM.

Dual Stage Induction System

This is a Honda exclusive, designed to maximize combustion efficiency for increased torque and superb fuel economy throughout the entire RPM range.

"On Demand" 40 Amp Alternator

This unique alternator uses less crankshaft horsepower, reduces heat build-up, and provides superior battery charging capability, producing 30 amps at a trolling speed of 1,000 RPM.

"Fresh Water" Flushing Port

The BF150 has an externally mounted fresh-water flush port that can be hooked up directly to a garden hose enabling you to flush the cooling system - without running the engine.

Easy-To-Service

The BF150 uses a single, front-mounted lever to release the lightweight engine cowl and the two lower-leg covers can be removed in minutes allowing easy access for cleaning and routine maintenance.
